Justin Thomas just fulfilled a childhood dream

Louisville, KY – PGA Tour star Justin Thomas has been immortalized on the side of the Watterson City Buildings in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, joining the ranks of local legends like Darrell Griffith, Paul Hornung, and Bobby Nichols.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Thomas shared his emotions upon seeing the giant banner depicting himself, a dream he had harbored since his high school days. “Every day driving to and from high school, I’d pass the banners on the side of the Watterson City Buildings honoring some of Louisville’s greats,” Thomas wrote.

“It was a dream of mine to one day accomplish enough to have my own banner on a building in the city. Today, that dream came true.”

Thomas expressed profound gratitude towards the city for their unwavering support throughout his career. “Words can’t begin to describe the feelings I had being presented with that banner today. I have so much love and appreciation toward the city of Louisville,” he added.

The golfer, who has enjoyed a successful career with multiple PGA Tour wins, also emphasized his ongoing commitment to his hometown through his foundation, aiming to give back and contribute to its betterment. Surrounded by family and friends during the unveiling, Thomas dedicated the honor to his local supporters: “To all of the 502… THANK YOU!”
